ADrive Debuts Desktop Backup App

February 9, 2009: ADrive is promising simple backups with a new 50GB online storage service to go with the release of its ADrive Desktop.

Developed in Adobe AIR, ADrive says its desktop backup client is compatible with all major operating systems and enables data to be uploaded, download, and for backup jobs to be scheduled.

While not currently available, ADrive says that a single-computer, backup-only client with unlimited storage, a mobile device application, collaboration solutions for businesses and other groups, an image gallery for viewing photos online, a media player and folder sharing capabilities are on the way.

The service is now available to ADrive’s Signature and Premium customers, while new users and Basic account holders can try it out with a free 14-Day trial.
