March 26, 2009:Australian enterprise content management (ECM) specialist Elcom is extending the channel for its Community-Manager.NET products through a partnership with StoneBridge Systems.
“Enterprises and medium-sized businesses are pondering how to gather and retain the extensive wealth they have in content and expertise within their organisations,” said Peter Murphy, Director,StoneBridge Systems.
“Elcom's modularised, tightly integrated product suite will give our customers a cost effective way to ‘monetise’ this process through greater internal productivity and tighter and more personal services for their own customers.”
Murphy says StoneBridge Systems has a wealth of experience at the enterprise level and was looking for a completely integrated set of enterprise-class content management solutions to take to market.
“Partnering with Elcom gives us three big advantages,” he says. “Firstly a robust and proven solution set; second, an Australian-developed product with local expertise for custom development and engineering; and third, price/performance and capability that’s a great fit for the enterprise andmidrange markets in Australia and New Zealand.”
Elcom director Ron Mannix says [StoneBridge Systems founders] Murphy and Craig Broadbent are two of the most experienced people in the local the ECM industry and were earmarked as ideal partners to resell the CommunityManager.NET platform and products.
“Both Peter and Craig have operated in the same market as Elcom for a number of years and understand the needs, functionality and customer requirements that are suited to CommunityManager.NET, thus enabling a faster sell to market,” he says.
“Our strategy is to have all of our business funnel through quality partners like StoneBridge Systems. We realise that this will not happen overnight, so as the partner community grows, our direct team will be refocused to service those partners.”
Elcom is also looking to extend its channel reach beyond Australia’s borders, with Australia’s healthy exchange rate making its products more attractive to overseas markets.
