April 1, 2009:Email management firm Xobni has announced the general availability of version 1.7 of its inbox management tool, which offers a number of performance enhancements.
These include Microsoft Outlook loading 31 per cent faster, Xobni Profiles loading 42 per cent faster and greater performance controls, according to thecompany.
Users can now determine how often and how much data Xobni indexes, and will also be given more control over when Xobni is running. Users with larger inboxes "will experience more dramatic improvements", the firm said.
The company has also fixed previous software incompatibilities that existed between Xobni and a number of applications, including Microsoft Business Contact Manager, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Office Communicator, Avaya voice email products version 5 and above, BlackBerry with BlackBerry Desktop Software, MobileMe, McAfee Enterprise VirusScan version 8.5 and above, and Cisco Security Agent.
