Nuance Communications has announced a new release of its desktop PDF software, Nuance PDF Converter Enterprise 7, adding include visual document assembly of PDF and Microsoft Office documents into a single PDF, and a Web PDF toolbar that delivers the full capability of the product via Web browsers.

Office workers wanting paperless features gain robust PDF scanning capabilities, including one-click scanning with scan-and-markup capabilities. Enterprise-wide collaboration and workflow is enabled through robust connectivity to Microsoft SharePoint and enterprise content management systems.

It adds support for Microsoft Silverlight rich media within PDF files, Windows 7 jump-lists for frequent PDF tasks, direct access to Microsoft SharePoint, and the Web PDF toolbar for Internet Explorer.

Nuance PDF Converter Enterprise 7 is $US149 while a version targeting individuals and small workgroups, is $US99.
