Oracle’s CRM Star Rising

Oracle’s CRM Star Rising

By Greg McNevin

October 3, 2007: According to the eVerge Group, demand for Oracle’s Siebel CRM On Demand applications is exploding after being introduced four years ago.

The Oracle partner has gone so far as to venture that 2007 may be remembered as the year Siebel CRM caught fire, with eVerge claiming it has seen interest in the On Demand service skyrocket these past nine months.

“We’ve seen a definite increase in the number of clients that are looking for the Siebel CRM On Demand solution” says Rich Woll, eVerge Group’s Executive Vice President.

Woll notes that the company is currently working on Siebel CRM On Demand installations with the likes of Visa, JWA, O’Connor & Associates and Evolved and is predicting a dramatic rise in demand to come.

Software as a service enables new technology to be taken advantage of immediately with little or no upfront IT investment, so one does not have to stretch the mind far to see why many companies are diving in. And while Oracle’s CRM star is rising, it still faces some stiff competition from the likes of SAP, Salesforce.com and even Microsoft.
