Smart document creation on SharePoint 2010

Aia Software has announced its ITP (Intelligent Text Processing) Document Platform now fully integrates with the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platform and Microsoft Office Web Apps.

ITP is designed to provide SharePoint-based organisations with document generation capabilities that are beyond the scope of routine word processors, such as loan origination, claims and invoice processing, and new account enrollment. Users can create personalised, interactive customer-facing correspondence in a controlled environment.

It runs in the background, so users don’t have to leave the SharePoint environment to create interactive forms, variable data correspondence, personalised communications and other business documents.

Integration with SharePoint combines the power of ITP document composition with SharePoint workflow, archiving and post-processing. ITP-generated correspondence can be archived, indexed and accessed via SharePoint, leveraging the platform’s strengths as a document management system.

Document-centric services can be added to SharePoint workflows, and ITP functions, such as creating a new letter, can easily be embedded in SharePoint’s user interface.

Post-processing actions like printing, PDF conversion and e-mail can become automated, server-based activities that save time. In addition, the ITP Document Platform can automatically store resulting documents in a SharePoint Document Library, so document creation and management are managed centrally.
