Canon has update its document management solution, Therefore, to make it easy for users to access documents and workflows from their smart phones and tablet PCs.

Users can now also access files in Therefore while working offline, with the ability to check-in and check-out documents while working outside the network.

Once the user logs back in, Therefore will automatically sync the files or overwrite where required.

Documents within Therefore can now be accessed directly from the MFD, allowing users to print without being at their computer. This functionality is in addition to Therefore’s current scanning capability, which allows users to capture, index and archive through Canon’s MEAP (Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform) technology,

Users are also able to see categories and index data created in Therefore in the standard Windows Explorer window without opening Therefore.

Therefore has also increased its full-text search capability with users able to simultaneously search for documents, content and index data, decreasing the time spent locating content within Therefore.

The latest version of Therefore can be easily connected to existing business applications through a universal connector, without the need for coding.
