MYOB launches cloud accounting suite

Australia’s MYOB has announced its cloud accounting solution, AccountRight Live, will be available from 8 November with subscriptions starting at $23 per month.

CEO Tim Reed says, “AccountRight Live will change the way our clients do business. Now, hundreds of thousands of business owners who use and trust our AccountRight desktop software range can easily experience the benefits of cloud at their own pace. They don’t need to migrate data to a new system or learn a new interface, they simply install our latest release and turn the live features on.”

“It’s online accounting without compromise and it will make business life easier for so many Australians.

“Another stand out feature is the ability for clients to link their bank accounts directly to AccountRight Live. Transactions are automatically and securely imported, reducing manual data entry and improving accuracy. So, clients have more time to do what they love rather than spending unnecessary time on data entry.”

“When online, you use the business logic and data in the cloud while the desktop provides the interface, similar to how a browser operates. If you choose or need to go offline and want to work on your accounts locally, you do so by ‘checking out’ your file, in which case the application works similar to other desktop software. To ensure there are no conflicting versions of your data, when you check out the application intelligently puts your shared version in the cloud in read-only mode. When you reconnect, all changes are seamlessly synced back up to the cloud and the exclusive lock removed,” adds Reed.

“You can also authorise others to access your data simultaneously from any location. This eliminates the need to deliver data in to your business advisors via CD, USB, email and other less secure means.”
