CenITex has selected BMC Software as the core IT service management provider to provide a single, integrated and standardised technology services platform to the Victorian Government’s shared services ICT department.

As part of CenITex work on the Efficient Technology Services (ETS) Program, CenITex will leverage core pieces of BMC’s Business Service Management platform, including the BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) suite, BMC Atrium and BMC Atrium Discovery.

The shared services expects to achieve lower cost of service delivery; Automated service requests; Faster incident response times; and Measured and monitored service levels.

The BMC solution will allow CenITex to adopt ITIL v3 compliant processes, COBIT 4.1 controls and ISO/IEC 20000 standards. BMC technology will improve processes across incident, problem, change, release, configuration, service request, service level and knowledge management.
