HP has announced the end of the TRIM brand, with the Australian-developed record-keeping software it acquired in 2008 to be folded into HP's next-generation Records Manager 8.0 product.

Sharp has introduced  new colour workgroup document systems, the MX-5141N and MX-4141N, providing  on-screen editing and multiple document finishing options. 

 

Telstra has finalised an investment in Australian electronic health record specialist IP Health, which provides medical practitioners with access to complete patient information on their smartphones and tablets. 

Fuji Xerox Australia has announced the launch of DocuShare 6.6.1, the latest update to its  Web-based content management software that allows organisations to capture, manage and share its document assets through a central database.

Australia's DocsCorp has reached agreement with Chicago-based Datalogics to license core Adobe technologies in its range of products for document management. 

Kofax says its $US47.5M  big data acquisition, Kapow Software, will continue to operate independently while its data integration technology will help the parent  company's push to meet the modern business drive towards process automation.

Infrascale's enterprise collaboration tool, FileLocker, is now available with connectors for SharePoint that enhance functionality for secure collaboration and in-cloud editing, previewing, remote wipe and administrator control.

The Queensland Parliament has deployed a new publication system using Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 to publish the Parliament’s record of Proceedings (Hansard) (transcripts of parliamentary proceedings). The success of the project, together with the need to create a SharePoint environment, has seen use of SharePoint extended to handle Intranet and it is now being considered for a range of other collaboration and content management applications.

The global market for document management systems is on track to grow at an annual rate of almost 14% until 2016 according to a new report from analyst firm Research and Markets.
