Cohesity Brings Data Protection To AI Agents

Enterprise AI platforms can now reach data protection and cyber resilience operations through a new open-standard interface. Cohesity has launched Cohesity Maestro to make its data cloud natively accessible inside existing corporate AI tools.

The system uses the Model Context Protocol to connect with Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT and Google Gemini. This approach removes the need for custom integrations or proprietary connectors.

Cohesity said the launch delivers the industry's first headless data security architecture. Operations teams can trigger restores, hunt threats and orchestrate recovery without switching to a separate console. Actions run through autonomous agents inside the AI workflows teams already use.

The architecture stays governed by existing role-based access controls, authentication and audit frameworks.

This keeps data insights under the same security terms that apply to direct platform access. Teams can also ask what changed across their environment and surface a prioritised view of critical risks.

The interface exposes core capabilities including cyber resilience orchestration, realtime telemetry and threat signals. It also connects Cohesity Gaia, an AI search engine offering semantically enriched queries over protected data.

Cohesity Copilot and RecoveryAgent are available now, while the Maestro interface is expected later this year.
