Wireless USB the Key to a Cable Free Future
Wireless USB the Key to a Cable Free Future
July 24th, 2007: WiQuest today announced that its latest silicon offering would be used in certified wireless USB products. Dell and Lenovo have both signed on to use the new technology as part of their notebook product lines.
Wireless USB can offer vastly improved workspaces with the abandonment of the cable jungles that haunt many office spaces. Because there are no wires or ports, there is the potential for up to 127 direct connections to a host, as opposed to the handful that are common today.
WiQuest’s silicon will provide the key to releasing commercial certified Wireless USB products such as the Dell Inspiron 1720 notebook and the Lenovo ThinkPad T61. “WiQuest continues to work with these and other tier 1 companies” Matthew B. Shoemake, WiQuest founder and CEO said.
The notebook release will provide a key industry milestone for WiQuest, Dell and Lenovo as Wireless USB becomes more and more commonplace with the shift to a cable free future becoming more and more of a reality.
