Security Company Wins Red Herring Award
March 23, 2007: Yoggie Security Systems has picked up kudos and a Red Herring award as one of the 100 “Most Promising” companies driving the future of technology for its Gatekeeper Pro security solution.
The award is given to the top 100 private technology companies based in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region each year. This year editors scoured the financial data and subjective criteria of 700 companies to determine the list, with criteria including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development.
Red Herring says it picked up big wigs like Google, eBay and Skype in their early days, nominating them as leaders that would change the way we live and work.
Yoggie submitted information on the its Gatekeeper Pro solution, which it says is essentially a miniature computer that uses a hardened, embedded OS to focus on protection of all operating systems on a PC. The Gatekeeper is connected via a USB cable and according to the company, offers 13 layers of protection and eliminates the need for multiple security applications on an OS.
“This year's impressive list of winners demonstrates Europe's emergence as a major player in the global technology sector,” says Red Herring Editor-in-Chief, Joel Dreyfuss. “The exceptional accomplishments of European technology companies and entrepreneurs are a testament to the rapid advancements being made in building the European innovation ecosystem.”
