SharePoint Search 2007 Scours ECM

February 15th, 2007: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 has received a boost to its enterprise content management capabilities with Vorsite announcing search connector support for leading ECM and CRM applications.

Vorsite says its connectors enable Office 2007 users to increase search capabilities and draw pertinent information out of the ECM or CRM system and deliver it directly to their desktops, retaining security and data integrity along the way.

"Our customers will be thrilled to be able to search their existing document repositories directly from the desktop,” says Vorsite Vice President, Rano Joshi. “Vorsite’s Search Connectors, based on Microsoft SharePoint Search Technology, will lend to immediate and invaluable increase in information worker productivity."

The company says that the software has been designed for enterprises both large and small and claims that it will be an effective solution that directly addresses key contemporary business needs.
