Objective Now Preferred Supplier For QLD Government
December 6th, 2006: Objective has had another win in Queensland, announcing that it has been named in the newly established Preferred Supplier Arrangement (PSA) for Electronic Document and Records Management Systems and Consultancy Services (EDRMS) to the Queensland Local Government.
In response to changing local government purchasing policy, legislation and local government and industry user requirements, the contract will see the company deliver a selection of an EDRMS and associated consultancy services.
Objective says that following exhaustive evaluation and testing, it met all of the panel’s core functional and technical requirements for EDRMS software.
“As a council we need to manage a variety of information, document formats and access to this information from a corporate perspective,” said Bob Holmes, Chief Executive Officer, Redcliffe City Council. “We required a solution that would underpin internal process improvement and fully enable electronic management of information and processes throughout the council.
“Delivering services to the community requires shared access to corporate information organisation-wide. Currently, the search capability that the public have on agendas and reports is extremely limited. With Objective we will be able to expand the delivery of information to the public,” said Holmes.
The win is not the first for Objective in Queensland, its Enterprise Content Management system is already in use by state departments such as the Queensland Police Service, Port of Brisbane, Powerlink, the Townsville Port Authority and Redcliffe City Council.
