Speedscan firms up archiving strength in Australia

Speedscan has created a new alliance with Mobius Management Systems to offer new web-based archiving and retrieving capabilities to Australian companies that need to unite repositories, meet compliance requirements and automate business processes.

Speedscan Asia Pacific will become the master distributor of the Mobius ViewDirect TCM software suite in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, which will be combined with the capabilities of Speedscan's SpeedVIEW product.

Speedscan's SpeedVIEW product suite provides users with the ability to archive, retrieve and view documents and email. SpeedVIEW Online offers web-based retrieval as an outsourced hosted service.

Mobius ViewDirect TCM suite comprises a highly scalable, high-performance content repository, as well as a divers range of products that integrate content across disparate repositories and support regulatory compliance.

Mark Josman, the CEO of Speedscan, explained how this alliance is part of their current bigger push to offer more services in the Asia Pacific.

"This is part of our big push in Asia at the moment, which we have big momentum with at the moment with re-seller partnerships and we have a number of new products which we are going to release in the region within the next 60 days.

"We have an advantage with the way we work in that we are very flexible and are not tied down by a number of bureaucratic processes that hamper other organisations and affect large software companies."

Josman believes that Speedscan is on the verge of becoming a global player following this recent push into Asia and the success the company has already had in Northern America.

"We currently look after the archiving of 120 credit card processing organisations, making sure that the people who work for these organisations have the same statements and information at their fingers tips as their customers, which makes it easier for them to do business."

Speedscan has some new big archiving and retrieval contracts in the process of implementation in Australia right now, which will be released to public knowledge in the next couple of months.
