Enhance Adds SMB Storage

March 21, 2008: Enhance Technology has announced a new addition to its line of SMB storage devices, promising up to six terabytes of capacity and up to 100 MB/sec throughput performance.

Part of the Enhance RAID R6 line, the R6 IP series is a 2U six-disk rack mounted storage appliance that can deliver performance hefty enough to support uncompressed video surveillance applications according to Enhance.

The RAID 5 system runs six SATA II disks and drives data via dual high bandwidth GbE ports and is compatible with Windows and Mac environments. The company says that the system has proven popular with SMBs looking for storage manageability in D2D backup and security & surveillance applications.

Enhance’s channel sales director Aaron Eskridge says that the new appliance marks a breakthrough, enabling SMBs on mixed platform networks to take advantage of the IP series' price, performance and technology.
