Kodak enhances the i1800 Scanners

March 26, 2008: Kodak has boosted its i1800 series of scanners to include more functions for large volume document scanning.

The new features being added to the range are designed to handle large volumes of documentation more efficiently and improved flexibility, productivity and ease of use. Auto orientation has been added to the scanners, enabling image rotation based on saved document content, aiming to save time and labour previously required for presorting.

Existing owners of the i1840 and i1860 range of scanners can enjoy the new features at no extra charge, as those covered under warranty will be given the updates for free.

"These scanners make high volume document processing more efficient for any business including service bureaus, insurance and financial companies," said Tony Barbeau, Director, Scanner Business, Document Imaging, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group.

The i1840 series has also seen extra features in the way of image addressing, patch reading and batching added to its existing arsenal. The i1840 and i1860’s are available in Australia now and come with all of the enhancements as standard.
