FileNet and ILOG in software alliance
Content management solution provider FileNet has signed an agreement with enterprise software components and services provider ILOG that will see the companies combine two of their software products – ILOG JRules and FileNet Business Process Manager – as they look to extend the value and increase the effectiveness of the business process management solutions.
"The main benefit of the partnership is the seamless integration of our products that will provide businesses with the ability to respond more quickly to changing market conditions and new regulatory issues," according to Rino Zaccuri, FileNet's marketing manager, Australia/New Zealand. "This is a significant step in making our business process management functionality more robust."
Both FileNet’s Business Process Manager (BPM), which is designed to allow organisations to improve their business operations by automating, integrating and optimising their business processes, and ILOG have been named in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for BPM and Business Rule Engines respectively.
"Increasingly, organisations are recognising the critical role BPM plays in achieving their efficiency, productivity, and compliance goals," commented Hugh Sutherland, FileNet's Vice President Asia Pacific Operations. "By bringing together products from the market leaders in BPM and business rules engines, we believe we offer an unrivalled solution for organisations that need to maximise the automation, agility and control of their business processes."
ILOG Asia Pacific General Manager, Foo Jong Tong, added: "The partnership between ILOG and FileNet delivers a unique BPM system most suitable for the Asia Pacific market. It is built on proven technologies and is agile enough to keep up with rapid changes in the regional business environment. Customers can accelerate the ROI on their BPM system by delivering significant IT cost saving and time-to-market benefits, and we have established a solid foundation throughout the Asia Pacific region, readily available to provide support to our clients here."
