Network Associates launch Australian online security services

System security vendor Network Associates has introduced an online security subscription service for Australian consumers. A range of services, including McAfee anti-virus, firewall and privacy services are available at mcafee.com.au.

The launch of the Australian site will also make it easier to some 30,000 Australian customers who are already using McAfee's online security solutions service via the company's US-based mcaffee.com Web site. Now Australia-based customers can purchase in Aussie dollars and have access to local technical support provided through a toll-free number.

The service works simply by customers paying an annual subscription fee and automatically receiving online software updates.

"In talking with our customers, Network Associates has found that while consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the computer security dangers on the Internet, they require hassle-free and convenient security software to guarantee a fearless online experience," says Allan Bell, Asia Pacific Marketing Director, Network Associates.
