New FileNet MD looks to build on ECM success

The newly appointed managing director of FileNet Australia/New Zealand says he aims to capitalise on the company's strong position in the enterprise content management (ECM) space.

James Rae, who brings extensive experience in enterprise software sales to FileNet, plans to bring the company's relationship with its customers and ValueNet partners into sharp focus.

"FileNet is positioned by Gartner as the company with the best vision and execution capability within the ‘Leader’ quadrant in its Magic Quadrant for Pure-Play BMP, 2Q03, and we plan to build on FileNet's experience with tier-1 accounts by bringing our ECM expertise to bear in helping customers to maximise their investments and leverage their rich content across the enterprise.

"In parallel, we will be raising awareness of the greater value of ECM and business process management through FileNet’s proven products and experience in workflow, document management and web content management (WCM), to extend customers existing FileNet solutions and leverage existing applications."
