Two locals secure VERS approval

Proving that the local vendors are leaders in the document and knowledge management scene, Objective and Alphawest 6 have both gained VERS certification from the Public Records Office Victoria.

There are three specifications to the VERS (Victorian Electronic Records Strategy) certification; producing the VERS XML format, long term functionality and Meta data.

Objective has achieved one of the specs. Objective's 6i has been certified for the Meta data specification of VERS, Justine Heazlewood, the VERS manager of the centre of excellence said.

"The Victorian public sector is an important market for Objective," said Tony Walls, the CEO of Asia Pacific at Objective in a statement. Objective is pleased with the certification.

Alphawest 6 has been passed for all three standards, Ms Heazlewood said.

Objective is expected to pass the second two phases in the very near future. Ms Heazlewood said Objective was very close to the VERS standards on functionality and format, and is currently making modifications to fully comply with the second two specifications.
