FileNET fully embraces Web
FileNET has introduced Panagon 2000, an extension of its Panagon software family, which enables users to build Web-based and client/server content management and business automation applications.
A major focus has been placed on providing significantly enhanced Web capabilities, allowing users to leverage their IDM solutions while deploying electronic commerce and other Web-centric applications.
By linking a common user interface, either Web browser or client/server, with a content repository and simplified administration tools for business-critical IDM applications, this new offering is the next step in the integration of FileNET's IDM technologies.
Panagon 2000 also allows users to create solutions that integrate with Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes groupware environments, providing users with the ability to manage the large volumes of e-mail and other electronic documents spread across an organisation.
Panagon 2000 also has the ability to control and manage compound and relational documents, such as those found in investment banking "pitch books" and insurance policies.
Core components of Panagon 2000 include: Panagon IDM Content Services, Panagon IDM Services and Panagon IDM 3.0 Desktop.
The Content Services component incorporates IDM Document Services 5.0 with Panagon IDM Desktop and Web 3.0 and Adobe PDF publishing capabilities in one packaged application.
The software, available in client/server or Web versions, also offers report management and ad hoc workflow integration, and support for PDF renditions.
