Lava announces SAP certification

Lava Systems has announced its certification by SAP AG, the leading provider of client/server business application solutions. With this certification, Lava can offer document and image management capabilities to more than 400,000 R/3 users through the release of Lava Enabler for R/3.

This is an interface for connecting Lava's main API to SAP's enterprise applications, enhancing business systems by Lava-enabling SAP's ABAP/4 fourth-generation programming language.

"The new interface unites the information resources of SAP systems with Lava's network-based document repositories," said Lava Systems' country manager, Trish McBride. "Duplication of indexing is eliminated, improving customer response times, decreasing operating expenses and enhancing corporate effectiveness."

This new interface, integrated with the Lava 4.4 release, is the first in a series of application-specific Lava Enablers designed for leading business systems.
