5 Million Documents to Hit the Allfiche Scanners

December 12, 2007: Inspired by its vision for the paper-less society, the NSW Department of Lands’ has awarded a massive contract to Allfiche Australia Pty Ltd to scan more than 5,250,000 ‘odd sized’ documents.

The announcement comes off the back of a tender for the work which received numerous submissions from New Zealand and Australia. With funding secured, the Land and Property Information (LPI) division of the Department of Lands’ awarded the contract to Allfiche Australia, labelling the company the ‘quiet achiever’ of scanning bureaus in the country.

LPI says the work with Allfiche will contribute to one of the largest scanning projects of its kind in Australia.

John Dobson, Allfiche founder and director says the win comes as a result of their ability to demonstrate their capacity to manage the quality and quantity of the work.

“It’s great news for a company who relies on client satisfaction to gain a leading edge,” he says.

Meanwhile, Andrew Burgess the Business Manager at Allfiche says the project which will mainly deal with legacy work at the agency, is a huge win for Allfiche. “It’s outstanding news for us, our largest project to date,” he says. “In terms of document volume, it’s obviously huge.”
