Azaleos Supports Hyper-V

September 4, 2008: Microsoft Exchange services provider Azaleos has announced that it has now added Microsoft Hyper-V support to its exchange email management services.

The company says that its OneServer Virtual Edition supports Microsoft Hyper-V Server for virtualisation of Microsoft Exchange e-mail servers, providing a choice of either Microsoft, or VMware for their virtualisation platforms or physical servers.

The firms says that its OneStop remotely managed services enable organisations to maintain an on-premise deployment of Exchange, while off-loading monitoring and administration to professionals in its network operations centre.

“Exchange Server 2007, and its multiple roles, requires organisations to deploy several hardware servers to take advantage of its full capabilities,” said Michael Osterman, President, Osterman Research. “Hyper-V Server allows organisations to reduce hardware costs, lower their power consumption, and streamline high availability and disaster recovery configurations for Exchange using virtualisation technology that is fully supported by Microsoft.”

Azaleos says the Hyper-V support is available for OneServer now.
