Alltel Releases CRM for BlackBerry

January 21, 2008: The U.S telco Alltel has introduced a new customer relationship management application targeting SMB BlackBerry users in need of contact, activity and deal management software for the device.

Called SalesNOW, Alltel says the solution enables Blackberry users to manage their sales data, contacts, deals, activities and emails while on the move, as well as access and share information with sales teams.

The service enables connections from BlackBerrys or over the Internet via a secure account with the telco. Changes to accounts are automatically synced between the Web and BlackBerry versions of SalesNOW, so all information is current no matter if a user logs on from their handset or their PC back in the office.

“SalesNOW allows our small business customers to better manage their workload no matter where they are,” said David Maddox, director of advanced data solutions for Alltel Wireless. “This innovative solution is the ultimate sales tool for the mobile professional.”

The software is available for US$25 per month for individuals or US$40 per month for enterprise users. It is unknown if the company will be rolling the service out to other markets around the world.
