DataCore Certified for Citrix XenServer

January 24, 2008: According to DataCore, it’s SAN storage virtualisation solutions are now “Citrix ready”, as its SANmelody and SANsymphony solutions have been verified for use with Citrix XenServer.

The company says its software is among the first solutions to be verified in the Citrix Ready program, and it is currently pursuing additional Citrix Ready rubber stamps for its storage virtualisation with Citrix Provisioning Server and Citrix XenDesktop, both individually and in combination with Citrix XenServer.

“Storage virtualisation goes hand-in-hand with server, desktop and application delivery virtualisation,” said George Teixeira, president and CEO, DataCore Software. “DataCore extends the virtual infrastructure all the way through to your storage, giving your storage the same qualities that Citrix virtualisation gives your servers, desktops and applications.”

According to Barry Davis, VP Business Development at Citrix, storage is critical to the rapid deployment of virtualisation, and as DataCore’s solutions have now been validated, they can be deployed with confidence in any XenServer environment.
