Daily Debuts New RFID document Management Solution

January 26, 2009: Chinese radio frequency identification (RFID) tag and reader manufacturer Daily RFID has launched a new RFID document management solution, enabling automatic gathering and sending of document information.

Based on ultra high frequencies (UHF), the company says that the new solution helps track and manage documents by placing adhesive RFID smart labels on documents, enabling its multi-tag RFID reader to gather details of a document’s location and other basic information that can be tracked in real time.

The tags can be read from distances of up to 5m-6m, can be rewritten more than 100,000 times and support protocols such as ISO 18000-6C EPC Gen2, 18000-6B, while the reader uses an anti-collision algorithm to enable a large number documents to be managed, even if they are in piles.

Daily RFID says that the new tags and DL910 reader are available now, with the tags costing as little as US$0.32 (AU$0.25) each.
