Tiger Gets a Shiny New Coat Amidst All the Leopard Love

November 15, 2007: Apple’s OSX 10.4.11 update for its ‘Tiger’ operating system has been squeaked out by the software company with a host of security fixes and a few new features.

With all the roaring about Leopard lately you would be forgiven for not noticing that Tiger has had its latest update released. Leopard and Tiger are codenames for Apple operating systems as the company has a very public fondness of using powerful felines for its projects.

Tiger, or OSX 10.4’s update has 39 security fixes and 18 improvements ranging from Iphone compatibility fixes to changes for daylight savings for Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

There is also improved reliability for users running VMware’s fusion, which among other features allows users to run Windows on a Mac and is proving wildly popular for this feature.
