CSC Australia takes on Organice

October 2, 2009:Organice, a SharePoint based solution for Engineering Document Management, will now be offered by CSC Australia, the consulting, systems integration and outsourcing company.

Organice is a software solution for engineering document management and document control, and is fully based on Microsoft SharePoint. Organice is designed for project driven engineering industries, providing tools for engineering document management, document distribution and tracking, and project collaboration.

These industries include Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC), Facility Management, Government, Process Industry, Manufacturing (build to order), Transport & Distribution, and Utilities & Telecommunications.

CSC already provides SharePoint based services around document management and project collaboration. One of their market segments of focus is Chemicals, Energy and Natural Resources (CENR).

Since companies in this segment intensively collaborate with partners, Microsoft SharePoint provides them a flexible and powerful collaboration platform. However, these engineering companies are typically missing engineering document management functionality in SharePoint, like the integration with CAD applications and functionality for document distribution and tracking. Organice adds this functionality to SharePoint, providing a comprehensive solution for engineering document management and document control.

In their collaboration, CSC and Cadac Organice have teamed up to address the engineering document management and document control needs of CSC’s customers and other companies in Australia.
