Tandberg Data has upped the capacity of its RDX cartridge to 1TB with a new release for the Tandberg Data RDX QuikStor.

The 1TB RDX cartridge when used with the QuikStor disk-based removable storage system allows back of an entire server onto a single cartridge.

“The 1TB RDX cartridge, used in conjunction with Tandberg Data’s powerful backup and deduplication software, AccuGuard, with a typical 20:1 deduplication ratio, allows users to back up 20TB of raw data on a single pocket-size cartridge,” said Marije Stijnen, vice president of marketing for Tandberg Data.

“At that capacity point, RDX technology beats all other backup methods in its class as a safe and economical data protection solution for users who want to secure their important files.”
