ISYS unveils Document Filters 10.0

ISYS Search Software has announced the release of the next generation of its text extraction and rendering solution, ISYS Document Filters 10.0.

ISYS Document Filters are an embeddable set of connectors for extracting and rendering text from a comprehensive library of file, container and email formats. The ISYS Document Filters are aimed at addressing the unique document filter and information access needs of applications that range from e-discovery and text analytics to open source search tools like Lucene.

ISYS Document Filters is one of only three commercial solutions available for comprehensive text extraction and high-definition rendering.

“Vendors operating in text analytics, archiving, content management and beyond are increasingly seeking solutions that help them address their gaps in unstructured content analysis,” said Scott Coles, CEO, ISYS Search Software.

“We wanted to ensure ISYS Document Filters 10.0 addressed rising demand for deeper inspection of hidden content, ease of migration and implementation, and full support for enterprise platforms and formats.”

The solution has already been adopted by several industry leaders, including Sybase (an SAP Company), MarkLogic, Proofpoint, Attensity, Equivio and SAIC TeraText.

“As organisations worldwide start to understand how unstructured data is driving the Big Data movement, they realise the need for software that can analyse that data to drive decisions,” said Joe Dalton, CMO, MarkLogic.

“With the release of ISYS Document Filters 10.0, ISYS is enabling software like MarkLogic Server to do even deeper textual analytics on that unstructured content. That deeper level of analytics means that organisations will be able to derive more value from their Big Data than ever before.”

ISYS Document Filters 10.0 provides several enhancements in text extraction and rendering, including:
* Comprehensive enterprise file and email format support, plus archives and containers;
* Unique ‘Deep Inspection’ technology that reveals previously hidden content (such as tracked changes);
* Extensive platform coverage (including Mac OS);
* Full coverage of character sets and encodings (including Unicode);
* High text extraction speeds;
* Flexibility to enhance pre-existing open source solutions; and
* Seamless and secure migration
