EMC Corporation has announced a series of new products and solutions across the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) portfolio. 

Documentum  7.0 is the next-generation release of EMC’enterprise content management (ECM) platform.The latest release offers  capabilities to simplify and accelerate the deployment of Documentum into VMware-based private-cloud environments. It also includes improved search functionality.

Documentum xCP 2.0 is an update to EMC’s case management solution , optimised for cloud-based deployments including EMC OnDemand. 

Meanwhile document capture tool Captiva has been updated to version 7.0 with the promise of increased operator productivity with a new configurable, flexible desktop client for a variety of use cases.

Captiva Desktop is a new client for capture operators; it can be easily customised for all types of capture tasks, including image quality review, document assembly, high-speed data entry and indexing, high speed data correction and data validation. Captiva Desktop optimises the operator experience by supporting form layouts that look just like the paper document to promote context-aware indexing.

EMC has also launched its Syncplicity Connector for Documentum that adds a secure method for distribution of content from Documentum as part of business processes.
