Fujitsu NZ to Merge With Infinity

September 28, 2007: Fujitsu New Zealand has announced a merger with IT & Consulting Service provider, Infinity Solutions.

Fujitsu is calling the deal a ‘merger of equals’ and hopes it will build a stronger resource base and an improved ability to service customers. The deal will be subject to Infinity shareholder approval and aims to be completed by October 16.

“This acquisition will enable us to effectively compete in today~s increasingly competitive, global marketplace” said Rod Vawdrey, CEO, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand.

Infinity’s current CEO, Stuart Robb actually announced his resignation in August to join the New Zealand Rugby Union, but will remain with Infinity until November to assist with the transition.

“The merger with Fujitsu will significantly enhance the scope of what we can currently provide our customers today” Robb commented.
