After two years of campaigning, Fairfax journalist, Ben Grubb, finally got the decision he was seeking: metadata could be considered “personal information” under the Privacy Act 1988 (the ‘Privacy Act’). 

HP held its Information Governance Forum 2015 across Australian capital cities over the past two weeks. While reading the Digital Economy Outlook 2015 report from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), I couldn’t help my disappointment for the country that I’m proud to call home. The country I’ve built a business in, the country I employ people within.
