MacroView has announced an update to its Document Management Framework designed to extend the native document management capabilities of SharePoint.

MacroView DMF v7.8 adds a range of improvements for organisations running SharePoint on-premises, as well as additional document and email management functionality when used with Microsoft Office 365/SharePoint Online and also with personal sites hosted on OneDrive for Business. This enhanced support for Office 365 and OneDrive is also a feature of MacroView Message v7.8. MacroView users can now create hybrid solutions, e.g. where Office 365 is used to host extranet collaboration sites while the bulk of the document and email management continues with on-premises SharePoint Servers.

MacroView DMF v7.8 also enables a new optional module called MacroView Predictive Email Filing. As the name suggests, this new module further extends the capabilities of MacroView DMF and MacroView Message for filing emails to SharePoint. Once an email has been saved to SharePoint, subsequent emails in the same conversation can be saved with very little or even no user effort.
