Global shipments of Fujitsu scanners passes 10 million mark
Worldwide shipments of Fujitsu branded scanners have surpassed 10 million units. Since 1983, Fujitsu branded scanners have been designed, manufactured and marketed by PFU Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujitsu. In honour of the milestone, PFU has launched a “10M achievement” website.
PFU has attributed reaching the 10 million milestone to a combination of factors that its customers have come to value including high-quality image capture, world-class engineering skills, a sophisticated manufacturing process and consistently high standards of quality assurance.
Utilising the slogan “Good quality has 10 million reasons”, which contains messages as to why customers have consistently purchased Fujitsu scanners, the new website will be sharing global campaign information as well as the history of PFU’s success.
Kiyoshi Hasegawa, President of PFU Limited said, “we would like to utilise this opportunity to express our sincerest gratitude not only to our customers but also to all those that have been involved with our scanners. Our scanners have been able to keep evolving thanks to all our partners and customers that have remained by our side.
“The 10 million scanner benchmark is a stepping stone for PFU and we are committed to facilitating our customers’ lifestyles through continuous technological innovation and investigation of our customers' needs.”
Ever since the launch of the first fi Series scanner, PFU has continually developed new products and expanded its line-up, including the addition of ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) equipped models and high-speed scanners focusing on the needs of professional organisations around the world.
PFU also created software, which is bundled with fi Series scanners. PFU developed software enhances scanning productivity by creating greater digital image quality from paper documents.
Launched in 2001 by PFU, ScanSnap scanners take the complication out of document imaging with one-button ease of use, bringing duplex multi-sheet scanning to everyone, combining performance and affordability in a compact size.
Furthermore, the Wi-Fi compatible ScanSnap iX Series offers overhead scanning with the ScanSnap SV600 and a scan-to-cloud capability with ScanSnap Cloud.
A website named “Our Scanner Story” has also been launched to share PFU’s stance in producing image scanners.
