DataBasics Distributes Workgroups 2006

March 26, 2007: MetaCommunications has paired up with DataBasics and expanded distribution of its cross-platform process management and productivity solutions for the graphic arts industry to both Australia and New Zealand.

DataBasics will be locally distributing the company’s process automation and management software Workgroups 2006, which includes a suite of financial management tools for the rapid creation of quotes and estimates, the monitoring of job costs and on-demand reporting.

Workgroups 2006 also provides a configurable job ticketing solution that centralises project briefs, job tickets, customer information and associated document files plus a storage management solution specially designed for creative, publishing and prepress workgroups.

The company claims that the integrated suite empowers workgroups by facilitating collaboration, automating processes, centralising information, managing workflows, tracking files, and measuring key financial and productivity metrics.

"We are delighted to be working with DataBasics," said Robert T. Long, Executive Vice President of MetaCommunications. "Their specialisation in creative business solutions for prepress, networking, internet and productivity makes them especially well suited to represent Workgroups 2006."

"Since starting to work with the MetaCommunications, I am amazed at the number and range of organisations that have approached us with an interest in the Workgroups product suite, even before we started to promote it!" says Ricky Patten, director of DataBasics. "The real beauty of this product suite is its scalability from small operations to large corporates, plus its flexibility in meeting the needs of a wide range of users."
