Document Management From Anywhere

January 11th, 2007: Document imaging management software developer DocuLex has heralded the release of Archive Studio, a remote archiving solution for paper and electronic documents.

An automated document management solution, DocuLex claims that Archive Studio captures both paper and electronic documents and archives them in a central location via a secure internet connection.

The company says that the system consists of several programs working together. Goby Capture providing distributed capture of both paper and electronic files (such as Word, Excel and Outlook) with automated content indexing for storage on servers located on and offsite. Goby's Monitor component is server-based and provides fully automated document image processing, searchable electronic file conversion and custom file foldering based on each document's contents.

DocuLex says this software allows for documents to be scanned with production and desktop document scanners, multifunction devices and fax machines from a single program.

Retreival is handled by DocuLex WebSearch, a secure, server-based program similar to search engines such as Google and Yahoo!. The software enables users to search and retrieve their saved documents by keyword query in their office or from anywhere via the Internet.

"DocuLex's Archive Studio software was developed to simplify electronic document management's use for everyone throughout a business's operations, and to enable them affordable, secure 'Instant Document Access' of their information from any location," said Tim Nissen, Marketing Director of DocuLex.
