Cabinet NG Certifies Kodak Scanners

December 27th, 2006: Just beating the new year, Kodak has scored new certifications from Cabinet NG that it says will enable its scanners to improve document management and workflows.

Aimed at small to medium businesses (SMBs), the Scan Station 100 and i1200/i1300 series scanners have been certified to scan documents directly into Cabinet NG’s document management software.

The certification brings the working relationship between the two vendor’s hardware and software much closer, and ensures that both will work as needed, when needed.

"Being compatible with Kodak's latest products means businesses can benefit from technology advancements without the risk of adding an unknown to their environment," said Andrew Bailey, President of Cabinet NG.

According to Kodak, the scanners were tested for image acquisition and data transfer, image quality, simplex and duplex mode operation, plus automated workflow and full text search of scanned pdf documents.

"Cabinet NG understands the importance of solving the end-to-end problem of paper-based workflows," said Roger Markham, Product Marketing Manager for Distributed Capture Products, US&C, Document Imaging, Graphic Communications Group, Eastman Kodak Company. "With this recent round of certification, Cabinet NG enlarged the circle of choice and features available to customers for deploying Kodak Series Scanners with CNG-SAFE Software."
