Vista And Office 2007 Release Date Announced

November 3nd, 2006: Microsoft has finally locked down release dates for Windows Vista and Office 2007, launching both simultaneously on the 30th of November.

Along with Office, the business version of Vista will be enjoy a worldwide launch this month, with consumer versions of the much-anticipated operating system to follow next year in what is currently expected to be the 30th of January. Exchange Server 2007 will also be released on the same day, giving business access to the spectrum of Microsoft’s next generation products should they wish to dive in head first.

The release will mark the first time that so many significant Microsoft products are launched at the same time, and because it is a worldwide release, Australians and New Zealanders will be able to get their hands on the new kit first.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will officially launch the new OS in the US at the Nasdaq Stock Market, however, no details on the Australian launch have been released yet.

The Australian Windows XP launch many years ago was quite the event as far as software goes, Staged in the Superdome at Olympic Park in Sydney with Rove McManus filling in as host.

Perhaps this time around Will Anderson can fill in.
