Sybase Streamlines Data Access

Sybase Streamlines Data Access

November 8, 2006: Enterprise infrastructure and mobile software provider, Sybase, has made for general availability its Data Integration Suite 1.0. Sybase claims the suite will provide a flexible means to ensuring the right individuals are able to access correct data.

The solution combines data integration techniques such as replication, federation, real-time events and an unstructured data search with integrated modelling, metadata, development and administration.

Through the mechanism of data federation, Sybase streamlines and integrates data from different sources and provides standardised access through a single data layer. The Sybase replication mechanism ensures all applications have access to updates and current information across the enterprise.

“Enterprises continue to need more, better, and faster business intelligence data to drive key decisions and that data needs to be flexibly obtained from across the organisations,” says Carl Olofson, research vice president for information management and data integration software at IDC.

Sybase suggests effective streamlining data techniques through a single solution could assist in simplifying and speeding up the enterprise response to business change.
