HP Launches Elite ISV Club
October 4, 2006: HP has launched its independent software vendor club with five local companies promised marketing, technical, networking and business planning support.
Independent vendors accepted in to the programme include IBA Health, Informaster, iSheriff, TechnologyOne and Tier-3. Five other vendors are expected to be later selected to finalise the list at ten.
HP says the first five vendors were chosen because of their history with Australian customers, potential for future expansion and strength in particular growth markets - especially the health and security sectors.
Peter Woolacott, CEO of Tier-3 says HP is set to open new doors for the vendor in Asia. “Our relationship with HP will be one of the drivers of our continued expansion and success across the region,” he said.
Launching the Elite ISV Club in Sydney, HP’s ISV Business Development Manager, Gareth Sutton said the programme will assist in leveraging local vendors in the Asia / Pacific market. “We’re linking partners in to our technology centres,” he said. “You must think of each company in their own individual way.”
Four of the five selected vendors accepted awards from HP Australia inducting them in to the Elite ISV Club. IBA Health could not be present due to their recent expansion of work in the Asian Market, including contracts from number of hospitals in Malaysia.
HP says the selected vendors will have access to HP developers and product managers as well as practical marketing support.
