Netspace Forges Ahead With ADSL2+

September 21st, 2006: Melbourne ISP Netspace has become one of the first in Australia to offer next generation high-speed ADSL2+ services to homes and businesses.

Australia lags behind much of the world when it comes to high-speed broadband services. A situation that looked increasingly grim when Telstra recently announced that it had hit a wall in relation to its Fibre-to-the-Node (FTTN) plans.

Netspace tentatively forged ahead though, completing a beta trial of ADSL2+ in Melbourne earlier this year. With the successful trial under its belt, the company now knows it has the capability to roll out the new service and is pushing to get it out by Q4 this year.

Apart from experiencing speeds that some hesitate to call broadband, high-speed internet in Australia is also some of the most pricey in the world. Speed gains made with ADSL2+ will at least give residential and business users more bang for their buck.

Netspace is yet to announce details on pricing and specific availability past Q4.
