September 6th, 2006: SAP launches mySAP All-In-One ERP Package to fast track adoption of ERP for mid-size companies in Australia

SAP has launched SAP All-In-One ERP Package to fast track adoption of ERP (enterprise resource planning) for mid-size companies in Australia.

SAP All-In-One ERP Package provides a localised, pre-built solution for mid-size companies for rapid ERP deployment via a best practice methodology. Unique Australian business requirement such as GST, Business Activity Statements and payroll functions are pre-configured. A proven, step-by-step, deployment process clarifies scope and reduces risk.

"The SAP All-In-One ERP Package makes it easier and more affordable for Australian mid-size companies, working with our channel partners, to access, deploy and start realising the benefits of SAP software," said Tim Cavill, channels director SAP Australia & New Zealand.

"SAP All-in-One ERP Package will be welcomed by growing Australian mid-size companies looking to improve their business operations but worried about 'betting the business' on a large system implementation."

"SAP partners will be able to more easily qualify customer or industry specific needs and scope out customisation options. This will enable faster, more efficient ERP deployments for mid-size companies, reducing project risk and overall cost.

There are three main components to SAP All-In-One ERP Package:

  • Detailed, step-by-step implementation procedures.
  • Extensive, reusable documentation for scope evaluation, project team and end-user training.
  • Complete pre-configuration settings that provide everything needed to run integrated key processes.

SAP established eleven SME Solution Centres in mid 2006 to accelerate the development of industry solutions for small and mid-size enterprises. This solution is one of the first products to be delivered by the SME development teams and the first SAP All-In-One Package to be purpose built by SAP for its indirect sales channel in Australia and New Zealand. SAP will also market and sell the SAP All-In-One ERP Package directly to target customers, in accordance with its hybrid go-to-market strategy for midsize enterprises.

"More than 50 per cent of SAP's customers in the Asia Pacific region are small or mid-size companies," said Tim Cavill. "We recorded a 42 per cent increase in revenue from the SME segment in Australia during the first half of 2006, compared to the same period last year.

"Streamlined package development and qualification processes mean that we can rapidly expand our portfolio of solutions through the global network of SME Solution Centres.

"This approach reduces the software development and configuration burden on partners and allows them to focus on the delivery of effective and affordable solutions for mid-size enterprises. The SAP All-In-One ERP Package is the first product to be delivered to market in this way."

Gartner ranked mySAP All-In-One, the foundation of SAP All-in-One ERP Package, as the leader quadrant of its ERP Manufacturing Midmarket Magic Quadrant for 2005. Built on the latest SAP NetWeaver platform, the software is designed to reduce IT complexity while supporting scalability and growth through a comprehensive integration and application platform. Australian customers include General Pants Co., PlayCorp Group of Companies, Roadhound, Shoof and Rakon.
