SFE & Trading Technology Make the Connection

May 24, 2006: Sydney Futures Exchange (SFE) and Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT) have launched a high-speed connection between each other.

This exchange gateway claims to allow TT customers to trade SFE’s Australian and New Zealand markets through TT’s X_TRADER order-entry software. The SFE gateway is compatible with X_TRADER 7, the latest version of TT's order-entry software launched in January 2006. According to TT, their gateways can easily handle several hundred orders per second without any performance degradation.

Reportedly, this connection to SFE will result in more trading opportunities for TT’s customers around the world. Says Harris Brumfield, CEO - TT, “This connection to SFE means more trading opportunities for TT’s customers around the world. We feel it will be especially appealing to our X_TRADER users in Australia and New Zealand, who now can use one trading platform to access their local exchange alongside the major US, European and Canadian futures markets.”

Jeremy Johnston, General Manager, Sales and Marketing – SFE says that there is a significant demand for TT’s services, particularly from the high velocity traders in the proprietary, CTA and hedge fund sectors. “We feel the inclusion of TT amongst our range of ISVs will provide even greater choice for these users when trading SFE products.”

The initial release promises to support single stock futures, stock index futures and options, interest rate futures and options, interest rate strips and spreads’ single session options, electricity futures, strips and options on strips and futures, currency futures and commodity futures and options on strips and futures.
