Powerlink Chooses Objective

March 31st, 2006: Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software provider Objective has announced that Powerlink Queensland has selected it to provide an organisation-wide ECM solution.

A government owned corporation, Powerlink owns and operates Queensland’s high-voltage electricity transmission network. This network stretches over 1,700km from the NSW border to the north of Cairns, meaning the organisations’ operations are spread over a number of sites throughout the state.

Because of the distributed nature its organisation, Objective says Powerlink chose its ECM system to pull together its content into a single secure source of information for its 800 staff

Objective says that it will also help Powerlink meet its compliance obligations and improve the way it manages its documents, emails and records.
