Aug 03, 2005: Scammers are trying to use the name of London bombing victims to prise money away from people by duping them into believing they are in line to receive millions from the estate of a recent London bombing victim, according to SophosLabs.

The email claims to come from the executive director of a London bank and claims that the recipient has been identified as Giles Hart's next of kin and will receive 9.8 million Euros, which is allegedly left in his bank account.

Mr Hart is a 55-year-old worker from BT, who actually died in the bomb blast that took place on a bus at Tavistock Square, London on July 7th, 2005.

The email encourages users to reply back quickly with their bank account details, so that the money can be transferred as soon as possible.
