Texas picks Kodak's support service

Sept 01, 2005: Texas Memory Systems has chosen to use Kodak's on-site warranty and post-warranty service for customers who buy its solid-state disk storage devices.

Woody Hutsell, the executive vice president for Texas Memory Systems, said that stored data is typically mission critical and when a company cannot access it, that can greatly impact a company's productivity.

"We chose Kodak as our service partner over an existing provider because its team of highly skilled engineers and global reach ensure minimal downtime for our customers."

Joanne Boyd, the director of Worldwide business development for storage services at Kodak, added that she is pleased to have Texas Memory Systems among storage manufacturers that have placed their trust in Kodak to provide the industry's standard for exceptional quality and support worldwide.

Kodak's service & support is made up of nearly 3,300 professionals reaching more than 120 countries. It supports more than 100 manufacturers of document scanners, storage devices and systems, and micrographic imaging equipment.

The maintenance agreements range from on-site services to advanced exchange and depot options, preventive maintenance, and choices of coverage up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year in most areas.

It also supports the full spectrum of storage technologies, including tape libraries and drives; optical libraries and drives; mass storage devices (NAS/SAN); disk array/RAID systems; and autoloaders.
